Stratus is a series of highly customizable, plug-n-play transactional database server products for specific database operations with a ground-breaking performance.

They will be available in a choice of SUN/HP/DELL blade servers and will host MySQL or PostgreSQL DB on Unix/Linux/Windows platform. Typically a stratus can be plugged into your network and thats about it. Your database is ready for use.

Stratus comprises of a hardware configuration highly optimized for a specific need, a very minimal operating system wherein features and configuration of the operating system are dictated by the special purpose database server and supporting components, a preconfigured database server, preloaded with configuration data to serve a specific enterprise application.
